Richard J. Lasonde, M.D. has the experience and the expertise you can trust. LASIK is a Corneal Procedure, and Dr. Lasonde is one of only a select few fellowship-trained Corneal Specialists in New England.
Dr. Lasonde also brings his unique skills as a refractive surgeon to his cataract surgery helping patients to achieve their personal best vision.
Dr. Lasonde is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Dartmouth and Brown Medical Schools. He received his fellowship training in Corneal Surgery and External Diseases of the Eye at the University of Pittsburgh. He began his private practice in New Hampshire and Maine in 1994. Dr. Lasonde specializes in Cataract Surgery, LASIK-Laser Vision Correction, and the treatments of Glaucoma, Diabetic Eye Conditions and Macular Degeneration.
Dr. Edward H. Jaccoma is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who has recently returned to New Hampshire after practicing in the Southern Maine area for 30 years. He specializes in General Ophthalmology, the medical and surgical management of dry eye-related disorders, as well as plastic surgeries of the eye and eyelid areas
Dr. Jaccoma received his Medical degree from the University of Vermont where he graduated with a nomination to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Society and his Bachelor of Science degree from Fairfield University.
He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the Washington Hospital Center and his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Virginia. He has also taught medical students and resident physicians at the University of New England College of Medicine, as well as serving as Medical Director of Medispas, delivering laser, injections, IPL, radiofrequency and surgical aesthetic care.
Additionally, Dr. Jaccoma will perform cosmetic eyelid procedures and will offer treatments for reducing the appearance of wrinkles and rejuvenating the skin.
Dr. Jaccoma is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American Medical Association.
Chantal Veerasammy- McCarron, OD, received both her Bachelor of Vision Science (B.V.S.) and her Doctor of Optometry Degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Dr. McCarron's internships included work with Low Vision at Davie Low Vision Clinic, work with the VA in Salisbury, North Carolina, and rotations in Contact Lenses and Binocular Vision in South Florida. Following Optometry school, Dr. McCarron entered into private practice where she found great success. In an effort to fulfill her desire to give back to the community, she began practicing in mobile eye care, caring for patients in both nursing home and rehabilitation facilities throughout Florida. She developed curriculum as faculty member for local Optometry schools while simultaneously managing a LASIK surgery center.
Dr. McCarron is a TPA Certified Optometrist, indicating that she is fully licensed and prescribes therapeutic pharmaceutical agents in many states including Massachusetts, New York, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Florida.
Dr. McCarron's optometric interests include fitting specialty contact lenses, co-management for surgical procedures and primary eye care.
Since moving to Massachusetts, Dr. McCarron has worked with multiple practices in the North Shore. Currently she is involved in coordinating glaucoma studies. She started with Baystate Excellent Vision in 2015. When she is not working, Dr. McCarron enjoys baking and traveling. She is a member of the Massachusetts Optometric Association as well as the Florida Optometric Association.
C. Andrew Frangos, OD - Dr. Frangos graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire in 2009, and received his doctorate of optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2016. His clinical training includes stops at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia PA, the Manchester VA Medical Center in Manchester NH, The William Feinbloom Low Vision Center in Philadelphia PA, and the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston SC. He holds optometry licenses in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire. In his free time Dr. Frangos enjoys camping, hiking, skiing, golfing, travel, and cheering on all Boston sports teams. He lives in Boston with his wife Jenn and daughter Emma.
